Can tuners program shift parameters in F1/PDK systems?

    We know tuners can modify engine related parameters, but can they also modify the programming associated with shifting?

    Specifically, on a flappy paddle box could it be re-programmed from the current:

    Pull paddle equals single signal to "shift" versus Pull AND HOLD paddle equals shift out of current gear, stay in neutral. Paddle RELEASE then engages gear.

    any thoughts?
