2002 Vanquish "transmission fault"??

    I recently purchased a 02 Vanquish with 19k miles. The car runs awsome. While driving, when the car upshifts and downshifts the "tranmission fault" light will flash. It only happens periodicly and has never stayed on, Its just flashes and goes away. Is this a sign of something about to happen? Or possibly common? Again, it shifts very smooth and runs great. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Early Vanquishes had dreadful transmissions. Read a California owner's sad story of problems and lack of help from the dealer on the AMOC website in about '02 or '03.

    No idea if your issue is really a problem or not, but if it were me, I would take the car to a marque specialist (i.e. Steel Wings) and have them sort it out.

    Maybe the clutch is starting to slip?

    '02s are getting to be crazily low priced... makes me bite my hand.
