    Agreed. Nice car.
    Miles good.
    Last belt in 2006
    with 23k miles.

Now has 35k miles. Almost due.

    Owner says 2 owner car.
    Carfax says 4. Probably irrelevant.
    Car is in Michigan.

    Fair market price?

First thing I'd do is take off that front license plate bracket. Maybe someone one from Fchat that lives in the area could go take a look, just to see if you want to take the next step.

Fair Market is tough to figure in today's market. There are plenty of 348s going in the high $20s to low $30s. This one isn't exactly low miles, and a service will be due in a few years. I'd say it's a $32K car max.

I am going to go a higher than Husker. Everything I have seen sell in those 20-30s he mentions was in need of major help. That $30K black challenge car that sold could go through $20K and still not be finished getting right. The red one in Ft. Lauderdale needs a whole new transmission for starters. So at those prices, I have not seen a solid car yet.

I give credit to the full records, that is important and rarely seen. I also give it a little bump (1-2K) for being a 91. The fact that a fresh major is current is also important even though it only has a couple of years on it. I still give it credit for those couple of year. So I would guess around $40K. Now from their I start to deduct anything you find like sticky interior.

With all due respect to one of my best friends Almost Retired, I feel the same way. You may get a 348 for $30k, but you aren't getting much of one. This car may be a great deal, but it looks like it has been laying out in the sun for a Loooong time. Paint is horrifically scratched and faded, exterior black plastic even more so. Needs a major, one distance shot of the interior from afar? Owner claiming he knows how many owners but CARFAX differs?

Lot's more information needed. Not a horrible buy, but not a great one either.

The part I don't get is the statement about the mechanic saying "Let Me Know if You Don't Take it, I'll Buy it".....

If so, then why is he not offering it to his mechanic first? Or why has his mechanic not bought it from him?

    Hi,

looks like that the air-intake grill of the front hood is missing, what´s about the plastic box which is mounted on the opposite of the hood ?

    Regards, Georg
