Oooooh im glad i caught this thread. i have a few pairs of driving mocs that i use as an everyday shoe that i bought from Walking company. Raffini and Pikolinos. about a hundred bucks a pair. I also use an orthotic insert that makes these shoes wicked comfortable to walk around in all day. they are nice enough to wear business casual, but cheap enough that i can wear them everyday that i really dont care if something happens to them.

my 'nice' drivers are santonis, which were around 300 i think. funny my 100 dollar walking company shoes are 10X more comfortable

now to high end shoes... i like several of the brands mentioned in this thread. Moreschi (sp?), Tods, and Ive always been a fan of ferragamo style, but dont any. Ive been thinking of picking up about 4 pairs of 'high' end shoes....2 drivers (black and brown) and 2 formal (again black and brown). Currently, heres what im thinking... tell me what you think.

    Drivers:

I love my allen edmonds. Got a couple pairs, one on a pretty good sale. Worn them quite a lot, might send them back for a refinish.

I'm super excited to find out I'm in the "high end shoe" club. Oh baby. :p

I hope a pauper is welcome here :) I enjoy my Calvin Klein dress shoes. They were $150... does this qualify as Canadian? ;)

They have a hybrid leather-rubber sole. To me this is ideal, because you still get the tasteful leather heel sound, yet the grip & flex of rubber up front.

I met a guy recently wearing Berluti's. Wow, they really looked phenomenal.

If anyone has a line on Tods in something bigger than a damned 13, I'm in! I would already own some Ferregamo drivers but they're all too small. Prada is the same way.

I have 15+ pairs of Tods in a "Tods 13" which fits my US 14 a little loosly. I can recommend calling both the Cabazon Ca and Orlando FL outlets. in CA speak with Alex, in Orlando speak with Shavier. Let them know Phil with the SZ13 sent you. They will take great care of you and they usually have an awesome sale or two on. They always ship to me and have yet to drop the ball
