I just bought a F355 95 Berlinetta. Excellent condition. However it did not come with a remote for the alarm system. I have been searching and searching for a replacement for this alarm. If i can't find an alarm remote(I believe its a Mobile Alpine alarm) for this car, maybe another alarm system should be dropped into its place!!!??? Any thoughts guys!!???

    Thanks,

    George

I contacted the Alpine company and they referred me to another after market company dealing with these older systems. No luck doesn't exist..Oh well time to tear it out and replace with another system...

I finally replaced the Alpine alarm system ( no remote to be found hahaha) with a Viper alarm system. The ferrari now has an alarm system with an auto door latch and engine cutoff system. I convince them not to install the speaker system with the distasteful siren and whoops sounds. Instead if the alarm goes off it is connected to the car's horn system and since Ferrari's have such a unique sound, well you know... I love the keyless entry as this prevents damage around the door key area. I am very happy I had the alarm system installed. Lets see whats next? Radar? Car stereo with GPS? New speakers for the stereo? One thing is for sure, as loud as the car's engine is with a quicksilver muffler system, whats the point of a good stereo system??? The sound of the exhaust over powers any sound from the stereo anyways....sigh.....maybe sound deadening treatment???hmmmmmmmm

When I replaced my door speakers I used a sound deadening material all thru the door

    Robbie,

I assume you used the dynamat material? Did it make a noticeable difference/improvement?

    Curious minds what to know.
