Very nice Gene! Almost a shame to couple that lion to the standard Lusso exhaust which to my taste- takes too much tooth out of the note.

    Andrew,

The car will be in Chicago. I am hoping to get the car ready in time for Cavallino in January.

Agreed. It would be nice to have that growl with the Ansa or Abarth that you find on these cars.

That got me the biggest smile of the day. That open exhaust sound is beyond compare. Congrats. Now get her in the car!

    Andrew,

Most install an Ansa on a Lusso, but most of the cars came with an Abarth system from the factory. The FCA has just voted on a long outstanding issue is regards to the exhaust where an none-Abarth type system with be a point deduction at an FCA sanctioned judged event. I already bought an Ansa so it's a little late for my car.

    Gene,

Maybe I missed it, but that means that the body restoration and re-paint are finished. Any pics of the car sans flares?
What colour did you end up using?

    Jack,

The entire comprehencive restortion of the body, chasis, interior, Borranis etc.. has been finished. I posted a few pics a while back when the restoration just began. I will post a few as soon as the car is fully done. Unfortunatly the Chicago weather will make it dificult to enjoy the car for a while.

    Gene,

Looks like just a few small things to sort still, then you can stick it in a container, come to SA and drive around in that baby all winter long!

Are you happy or sad that the flares are gone?

WooHoo, I'd drive over from Toledo, just for a ride.

    Jack,

I always wanted to visit SA. With the Chicago weather turning, your idea sounds tempting! I do miss the look of the flares...
