    I finally got the chiaro blue 355 to $55K. I ordered a carfax report and there is an accident report in 1998 at 4000 miles. No salvage or frame damage obviously. probably just a colision incident. I currently have a BMW 650 and I pumped into a tree and reported it to my insurance so the car has a accident report in carfax
    should I be concerned? I still think that I am getting a car. What are you guys thought?

    If your happy with the car do it..:) That's the most inportant thing. Mine has a mileage issuse on carfax because it was a Canadian car and they changed the speedo when it came to the US. Not sure what the milage was when it was changed (around 3k on car fax) or if the new speedo was set at the same milage? So mine could have more miles than I know about???

    No!! Wow it looks great...:D did you have a PPI done? If so how did it check out?

    the car had major out-engine svc with belts, leak down and the whole works by a reputable private svc. about 1000 miles. i am going to get the records before purchase.
    do you think i should still get a ppi or just talk to a ppi about the svc. report

    Do yourself a big favor, get a PPI. Sure there are people that just wing it and get lucky but the 355 is one car that can cost an arm and leg if problems are afoot. Spend a few hundred on a PPI and at least know you bought the car as best you could.

    Search here to find out more but off the top:

    Headers
    Valve guides
    Check eng lights
    etc etc.

    Sweet looking car in that color though.

    Suffice to say that, yes, these past few weeks I have been thinking about selling my now-sorted 355. To be honest, what got me thinking was a PM from an FChat member that he would be interested in buying my car now that it had everything done to it to make it right. However, we could not agree on a final price as he was mistaken in that I would sell this for what the last couple eBay auctions have closed for--you know, the cars with no histories(I have all service records from Day 1) , and beat up interors, etc.

    So...I haven't officially put her on the market yet because I don't "need" the money that would be obtained in a fire-sale....but I am open to serious offer inquiries.

    There is an opportunity that I have coming up that would allow me to place my 355 money elsewhere that might be better for the next year or two.
