I've just bought a little lot of 8 Ferrari by Borrani wheels for Collecting purpose, and there's this 3880 Record that I'm not able to identify...

The ref. matches the date stamped onto the back of the wheel 4/65 (April 1965).

It's fitted w/ an original Dunlop Racing tyre.

    Any help appreciated !

    Thanx.

PS: FYI, the 3 other wheels on the pic are brand new RW 3808 in 7,5x15 for 250 GTO & SWB

You probably will get a better response if you post this in the Vintage section. A lot of people there who could be of help.

Posted by another FChatter earlier, and doesn't have that exact RW3880 number, but I sure like the series of cars that uses RW38XX ;)

My guess is that it was a special order. You could go to Borrani and say I need a 8x15 rim for say a 250GTO with such and such an offset and they would make it. As you can see from the chart above the 7.5s that you have weren't specified originally for the GTO or the SWB. Measure the offset from the edge of the inner rim to the inside edge of the hub and compare it to your other wheels first - it may be the same.
