    I was driving my car today enjoying the unseasonal weather and then all of sudden Bam, check engine light. I'm going to bring it to someone but my quuestion is what kind of code reader should I get? I would like to know what I'm up against. Thanks

    If you didn't feel any difference on the engine, most likely an O2 sensor...

    Thanks. Not too bad right? I bought a cheap OBD II reader, but for some reason it keep reading ERROR. I guess a cheap reader can't read it. Weird. I spoke to someone and he said to bring it in a Mon. Do you guys think it safe to take out tomorrow? I wanted to go on a run. I guess not. Thanks

    If the car doesn't seem any different to you then I would get it checked but I wouldn't stop driving it. I would take it a bit easier but I would continue to enjoy it.

    Most common CEL cause on 355's is emission related, but could be something worse too.

    There was a warranty recall on the 355 OBDII port to fix one pin - if that's not fixed you probably can't read it. I say try another code reader and if that one still doesn't read it get it fixed at a dealer (free).

    I'm going to take it to someone on Mon. to have it read. If he can't read it then I'll know. Thanks for the advice. I guess as long as I don't see the slow down lights I'm O.K. right? It supposed to be nice today and tomorrow here. I meant to get out. Thanks for all your help
