A few months back I decided to sell my "FrankenPorsche", a black 72 911 turned 930 Turbo. Well I just landed the replacement. A 1996 993 Twin Turbo. Black over black tan interior. A handful of nice performance upgrades including PSS9's, UMW hybrid turbo's, Sportec custom tuning, Protomotive intercooler, 5 bar fpr, Techart hi-flow 100 cell cats and RSR mufflers. Supposedly 408 wheel horsepower

I don't have any pics of my own as I have not had the car in my possession yet. I saw it briefly and had a quick test drive. Now it resides at Werks II, a Porsche shop in Burbank CA. I am having some issues sorted before I bring it home to Minnesota. This pic was supplied by the previous owner.

Very cool, one of my favorite cars. That looks just a tad too low for the wheel dimensions though, I'd have it raised a smidge.

I think the stance looks good but you'll have it bottom out/scrape everywhere.

    993 turbos are awesome... :D

Serious looking ride there with all those goodies! Factory hollow spoke wheels painted or aftermarket wheels?

I like them in black, but it looks like no one ever cleaned the brake dust off the wheels.

    Painted factory hollow spokes.

I'm not really sure I like the all black wheels. I may be in the market for some Ruf classics or possibly a set of HRE-542's.

I think ride height is easily adjustable, I'll look into it more when I get the car around Christmas time. I hope I made the right move, I could have bought a lot newer/faster 996 TT for the same money.

    Thanks for compliments!

the ride height is fine. my 930 is similarly lowered and never a problem and w/ similar overhangs. keep it as it is...looks killer!

The 993 Turbo is much more desirable than the 996/997 IMO. It's gained a cult status among enthusiasts and because it's the last of the air-cooled Porsches, it's one of the very few cars that will hold it's value, maybe even appreciate. I think you made the right move.

Absolutely. Superb choice if you got it for the same price as a 996TT.

BTW the black wheels look great IMO.
And +1 on adding an inch height at least on the rear. It looks "slammed".
    To each his own.

Well, I hope to make one in the spring. I was going to attend one this fall with the 360, but it was raining and cold. :(

Thanks for all the nice comments guys. When I get a chance to go for a ride this Christmas I'll take some good pics.
