Finally the Annivesario makes an appearance. Sorry I miss the day. Getting the damn house ready for Thanksgiving.
Great day! Love going for those drives. Added bonus today was not having to fight the crowds at Legoland exhibit.
Thanks for coming on the drive. Sorry about the need to turn around at one point - my bad. I'll refine it further for the spring. Here's the video my kids took from the end of the driveway (my first youtube post)... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tl72VPRGdmI
Great video! I had a great time on the run. We should keep doing these as long as possible and schedule more adventurous cruises for the spring. --Mike
OK....Who told Peter C in the lambo we were all "nice guys". Peter had a nice visit with us this past Sunday. (Nice to have you Sir...your cars are magnificent) He has informed me of a few semi local lambo drivers looking for a group like ours. They appear to be looking for shows and cruises in the NE area. I invited him to post on lambotalk about our gang and maybe link to our thread. We are happy to fill the parking lot with cool exotic cars and next year promises to be way more active with trips.
Eric...I also love that spot. Its a really long haul for Craig and myself from down here on the shore but perhaps we could combine it with a Limerock visit next spring. Up 8, across 57, down 7, sounds nice. What's County road like from Southfiled to Sheffield? Looks cool on a map but road surfaces are unknown.
What a great year it has been and next year is already looking like we will have an ever expanding group of exotics (and enthusiasts). I was just looking back at our old post from August 2008 which was our first meet when it was only you, Jay, Matt, Chris, Jess, and I. We have come so far and made some great friends along the way. What ever happened to our Ducati brethren?
And who would've thought then that someday you'd be able to utter every man's dream question...'Hmmm, which Ferrari shall I drive today?' Indeed it has been a great couple of years, here's to many to come. Cheers! We tend to lose the two wheelers in the cool temps...
Thanks to Peter for waiting until my Ferrari felt like starting. He followed me home. It was a pleasure looking at that Lambo in the mirror. Now I have another winter project. I think I'll start by changing the ignition switch. The drive was a great idea. Thank you Mike for putting it togeter.
Dean... Glad you got home OK. It sure sounds like your alarm system is what's behind the problem. It's like it cuts out the ignition, and has to time out before you can re-try. Good Luck getting it fixed.
I didn't realize you had left. I got it started after a few minutes. Too bad you didn't stick around. We would have made a nice convoy. We might want to consider taking a more scenic route in the future. Route 5 or even route 83 through Ellington and Somers. We could peel off as we each got close to our homes.
Just a friendly reminder for your pets this holiday season... Check the ASPCA Poison Control site for lists on common foods and plants that are toxic to dogs and cats...some will surprise you.. http://www.aspca.org/pet-care/poison-control/ Happy Thanksgiving!!!! Jess
Happy Thankgiving to all of you. Been a great year since moving to CT, most was due to my new friends. --Mike
Looks like it's gonna be another nice Sunday The company is gone, the holiday decorations are making their way up from the basement. I'm looking forward to a Gbury run before taking advantage of 50 degrees and less wind to put up the outdoor stuff.
