(Dimensions are approximate and vary by tire of course)

    Stock tires:
    (F) 215/50-17 with 25.5" dia.
    (R) 255/45-17 with 26.1" dia.

    Option 1:
    (F) 225/35-19 with 25.2" dia. (1.0% too small)
    (R1) 275/30-19 with 25.6" dia. (2.1% too small)
    (R2) 285/30-19 with 25.8" dia. (1.2% too small)
    (R3) 295/30-19 with 26.0" dia. (0.3% too small)

    Option 2:
    (F) 225/40-19 with 26.1" dia. (2.4% too large)
    (R1) 275/35-19 with 26.6" dia. (2.1% too large)
    (R2) 285/35-19 with 26.9" dia. (3.1% too large)

Most people seem to go with option 1. I was leaning towards option 2 just to have some more sidewall... But would the taller profile rub and/or look weird? These would be going on F430 wheels - 19x7.5 ET31.5 and 19x10 ET38.95.

Are you able to give us a shot of the rear looking 90 degrees at the back? I would love to see what the width of those tires look like....

So what size tires are you using? And while we're at it.. I might as well ask you your wheel specs.. Widths and offsets please!

I like option 2. Tiny sidewalls don't do it for me.

i took a chance and ordered some wheels off ebay...awesome buy and i'll see how they work...if it sucks im not out much$$ at all! figured i'd take a chance for all of those on Fchat wondering about inexpensive ebay wheels. i cant see spending 3-8k for wheels on a driver car!! i will post pics when they come in. waiting on the wheels before i buy tires....

I wonder if that means Scud wheels would fit on my 348? I've been itching to try it!

    okay now the tire questions...

    found these sizes available.

    235/35-19 @ 25.45" -.05" from stock so perfect
    275/35-19 @ 26.58 +.5" from stock slightly taller

    225/35-19 @ 25.2" -.3" from stock slightly lower
    285/30-19 @ 25.74 -.3" from stock slightly lower

so im wondering this...would having the nose ride slighly lower than stock angle be a good thing. thes cars seem to have a light feel at high speed...would the lower front force more air to push the front down? like 235 and 275(this would put rear up .5" above stock) im not aerodynamics specialist! or should it be left at stock angles. or 225 and 285 (this would leave stock ratio front to back)?

update...i recieved the wheels and they are very nice quality...but the rear offset is wrong...they will stick out about 1.5 inch past the factory wheel....toooo ghetto fabulous for my taste...

I would recommend these wheels in a second BUT i would order 4 fronts instead....you can still put up to a 255/35zr19 on them! stock width! fronts will be just right as the factory is tucked in too far. with a 225/35zr19 will be very close.

for the money you could not beat these guys on ebay... they have 4 wheels sets for as low as 299. plus 150 shipping. so for 450 you get wheels that will bolt right on.

here is what i will probably do...will know tomorrow if i can:

i am planning to buy another set of fronts and will be cutting them and the rears apart. i will then weld the rear insides to the front faces. this will give me an 11 inch wheel with the 2 inch lip so it wont stick out gansta style! and i will be able to tuck up to a 305/30zr19 under the back!

This seems like quite the process to end up with cheap, incorrect wheels. I don't think I would want to be on a hot lap at Laguna Seca and be thinking about, What if.......

this is simply an experiment. as i said i could just put the front size on the back and throw a 255/35zr19 on and it would be perfectly fine.

i simply WANT wider wheels. if my machinist says no go then i wont do it...i will never be on the race track with the car.

if you read the 308 section there is a guy who cut a set of 360 wheels down to fit his 308 and he tracks it

on the burago 1-18 scale model of the 348.
they have 345 on the rear and looks so good.

I thought the guy with the 308 with 360 wheels bought 4 front wheels from the factory to fit.

heres the wheel. the company said they would gladly exchange the rears for fronts. bu i decided to just buy 2 more fronts. then i can cut them bothg apart and make what i want. i will have 600$ in the 6 wheels delivered. i aint complaining cuzz 4 fronts would work just fine with up to a 255 rear tire
