    Would the 355 wishbones fit a 355?

During one of my chats with Simpson Motorsport who raced and developed the 348 for Le Mans, I was told that the 355 suspension is actually copied from the 348 that they raced.

So I'm thinking, would 355 wishbones fit a 348 and would that improve the handling?

    Based on the Ricambri drawings,

At the front looks different in how the anri-roll bars attach to the lower wishbone.
At the rear the hubs look different, the anti-roll bar attachment is different, and the sub frame is different at the attachment points.

I don't see any visual difference in the wishbones themselves. This does not preclude actual constructional differences.

    Thanks Mitch.

I'll have another chat with Simpsons and report back.

Its not about wishbones but geometry and pick-up points. The later subframe 348's and the 355 I thought were the same. It was the early 348 that had different pick-up points on the subassembly that change handling feel but not ultimate grip. In fact one of the really trick things you could do is custom wishbones with adjustable heim joints for camber/cast/toe and perhaps easier adaptation and offset control of an off the shelf centerlock hub which you can get spares for. A porker centerlock hub comes to mind.
