Standing room only! Good to see everyone. Nice too meet you Jerry (anunaki).
Hey anunakki Thanks for the invite Jerry, but last night, I was preparing a film products order for pick up today. YEAH !!! Obviously, you were in the company of a bunch of top notch people (Jason, Carby, etc). Was Darth there too? We'll catch up soon. Cheers, Hank
Roy M Martens made his debut last evening at Elysee Wednesday, a standing room only occasion that featured more ASWers than I realized until I started to count. In addition to Roy and his buddies Christoph Heckenbuecker, Jergen and Daisy, there was Helene Cardona, John FitzGerald, Jeanetta Dumouchel, Robin Mizrahi, Kathi Carey, Marion Comer, John Murray, Tom Gurnee and Eilon Amir. Ferrari Chat came in second place with Jerry Macaluso, David Levy, Carbon McCoy, Brion Ross , Jason and my friends Gerard Ismael, Pierre du Lat and Marion's friend Bernadette not to mention Tom Meade, his mob and Sinbad. All told, about 40 of us. The police arrived much later than expected.
The prospect of a second appearance at Elysee Wednesday by Roy M Martens and the possibility that the police might need to rope off the intersection to make room for our growing numbers has us on edge for this evening. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I keep saying I'll make it, but coming up from OC proves a bit difficult, I may just roll by and leave it at that lol
Last night was another fun night! Tom was M.I.A. and Girard's Beetle was towed (that's three Elysee victims so far!). But we still had a good time, and we had a great first-time appearance by LetsJet! Great to see you again, LJ. Jon BonJovi! Dave, yes, I'll be there!
How did I miss Girards Beetle getting towed ? That sucks. But yes otherwise a fun night. Much larger crowd than I expected and TWO gorgeous Ferraris which was nice. LetsJets, great finally meeting you. Definately need to hang out now that you are in town (and then I get to see more of your F355) Happy Turkey Day everyone ! JonBonJovi !
A really great pre-holiday crowd with some new faces. Gérard's car was towed because of an on-going racket run by Brent-Air towing where signs permitting parking after a certain hour---are removed. The only safe approach is to park at a meter or in a lot.
Jerry, you going tonight? I have a friend that is a modeler who sculpts Micronaut style stuff and you guys should meet.
At least nobody we know got towed--we saw Brent-Air doing lots of business with other folks! Great evening & nice collection of personalities last night.

Tonight we will be across the street from the Elysee at the Novel Cafe because they have space heaters on their terrace (!!). By next week, the Elysee should have that problem taken care of and we can carry on as before. I received this on YouTube after someone saw one of the videos of me and Peter Helm with our Ferraris on Muholland: "WOW. This video had such special meaning to me. I went to hollywood in the early 60's to see my friend actress Joey Heatherton who introduced me to Peter. Next thing I knew, I was in Peter's Ferrari, whipping around the curves on Mullhuland Drive at speeds that almost broke the sound barrier. I was scared out of my wits! But, the most amazing thing I remember was that Peter had taken a home stereo tape player and had installed it in his Ferrari. I'm sure it was the very first time that any car had a stereo tape player in any car. He showed me how he installed it and I immediately put one in my Jaguar when I returned to NY. Peter was such an amazing guy who I will never forget. I also remember his pet "Ottie" the Otter. Would love to get in touch with him after 40 years. Thanks for this great video."
