There are several SE with standard windows.

Interesting to see another silver Canadian SE. I would like to know the number/150 so if anyone has more info on this car and its whereabouts please let me know!

Is there a USA safety code that does not permit the seat belt buckle to be positioned next to the door?

I noticed that the USA SE30 cars all have the buckle near the center tunnel, since, in the SE30, the seat is positioned very close to the tunnel the CF is always scratched by the movement of the buckle. The Euro SE30 versions have the buckle part of the seat belt near the door where there is plenty of space.

    Good observation.

The USA SE30 has a plethora of small changes over the ROW cars in order to meet the type approval mandate to satisfy DOT/EPA requirements, and the positioning of the belt buckle is one of them. I refer to that particular safety code as the "pain in the rear safety code", and unfortunately I cannot present the Federal agency's rationale for its location. But its part of what makes the USA Diablo SE30 fully legal over here.

Can anyone give me the relative performance capability of the SE 30 compared to the other diablo variants. Thinking of adding a diablo to my collection and focusing on this car.

Also, I've heard that these car can sound great. Anyone know if aftermarket exhausts are common?

The SE 30 is much different from the other Diablo variants. The only one that is comparable is the GT, but that is another car all together.

The SE 30 is much lighter and has a significant amount of parts that are dedicated just to this model. It out performs a regular Diablo by a large margin. Everything flows better in the SE and the handling is major improvement.

As far as power goes, the factory claimed 525hp for the SE and 600hp for the SE Jota. Probably a little optimistic as is Lamborghini in their claims. My SE Jota dynod at 448 rwhp on a very conservative dyno. That puts it somewhere around 580hp before any of the ram air effect goes into effect which at speed should produce another 20-30hp conservatively. Most SE 30's I have seen on the dyno have produced 360-375rwhp.

Long story short, yes there is a big difference.

    Performance compared to
a 6.0? Is it the highest performance Diablo outside of a GT? (which I assume is not street legal)

A regular SE 30 is about even with a 6.0.

The GT is the tops..in my book, second the SE30, then the 6.0SE...

The GT is Street Legal, just not for USA. There are by my count ONLY 5 GT cars out of the 79 that made it to market in the USA, mine is #74, titled and licensed for the streets in the USA. (Not California).
