    In the new Silverstone deal (Yeah!) the BRDC promised to spend 60 million on improving the facilities. They also will build bigger grand stands and stands that show more parts of the track at the same time.

    Seems that my complaints were not unfounded after all.

    There is nothing in Sliverstone's recently announced plans about the rebuilding of any of the current grandstands. The new structures will be around a new in-field section, the proposed Arena layout. There will also be a new Pit Building and Paddock Club.

    There is no doubt that Sliverstone is need of a good tidy up, as its aging and rough around the edges. But its far from being as bad as Berine over years has often made out in the press. In my option, the biggest issue Sliverstone has is it lack of covered grandstands.
