Mate, what a mission!! This is why I like to work on my own cars, if I don't fix something right the first time them I only have myself to blame, when someone else stuffs up I'm paying them to do it, that frustrates me no end..

    How's ya ute going?

    Tell me about it. :p:p

Ute is going good mate. Need two front tyres for it now. Nicole's Stato ****ed them both from our Gold Coast trip because of the worn bushes. :D:D

5000 km total trip and both inner and outer edges are as bald as my fork. The centre of the tyres look like new.:eek:

The major service went well. They are a simple car to work on, surprisingly plenty of room around the motor even though it looks packed in.

Sunday morning we did a run down SH22 which was great fun and the car ran perfectly till within 10kms from home when the brand new genuine thermostat decided to stick closed....I was watching the temp gauge so noticed it as soon as it started to move. Nursed her home and pulled the thing apart again, fitted an aftermarket thurmostat from the local Repco and at half the price it is working perfectly.

But all in all it was an easy job the too me and a mate 4 hours including doing all fluids, pugs etc.

Running strong now!! I am suprised how strong it pulls to 8k RPM, sounds good doing it too...

The current model STis look pretty sharp, but the rest look like rubbish, IMHO. The best looking WRXs (IMHO) were the MY97-MY00 (STis included), in other words, the end of the GC8 (Speedy will correct me if I'm wrong) model line.

It looks like a ****ing mazda. haha.

the model you have looks abit funny in hatch form but the sedan looks cool. it has a mean presence to them. they aint beautiful like a 355 but they still look good for a rally car from the 90's

I really wanted a sedan. The hatch is a big "big" looking, IMO.

    80's rally cars look cool!!

    90's rally cars look commercial.
