Give a different perspective ns the saying, "could'nt get out of 1st gear". Nevertheless the 288 looks amazing!

 

indeed, GTO driver just playing. If he was serious he would be laying down some rubber.
Dont blame him. I would not want to hit anything in that work of art.

 

It looks like they were all pushing pretty hard. The GT4 spun and the GTO nearly had his inside front completely of the ground leaving a couple o fthe turns. Autocross is a lot harder than it looks and the GTO driver would have a particularly hard time as that game is not real well suited to turbo cars.

Here's me winning an autocross....back when my car ran. It odesn't look any faster than these guys were going....but out of the last turn I was hitting about 70-75 before hitting the brakes. You can really hear the blower working for all it hard a few times.

GTO has huge lag. Modern turbos would help.
