    On a 355 w/ 5000 miles since valve guides changed...is 8-10 percent good or bad??

    as long as its consistent across the 8 cylinders its ok

    A good 355 motor will be under 5%. The Mahle rings seal so well we see under 1% on a regular basis. While I could not justify tearing down and repairing a motor with 8-10% I sure would not be happy with it.
