    Just got 2 1/2 square meters of the original liner material at $150 per sq. meter from Veloce Space for my 308 QV GTS and I'm looking for a very well known upholstery shop around LA, OC area. It's getting hard to find this material that why I need a shop that can do the work with confident. Thanks.

    I just called Prestige Auto Upholstery and they're asking $450 to do the Targa top only on my 308, labor only I supply the material. Is this a good price or is there anyone else that can recommend another shop? Thanks.

    I like Prestige alot. The work is great but is on the expensive side and usually takes a while also. You might want to call Arroyo Auto and ask if they have a recommendation.

    If one of the very best in the business, gives you a quote of X$s, and it's not huge numbers different from what you would perceive, a "deal", go for it at quote numbers - then pretend it was $100 lower - then pretend you celebrated your "good deal" at the local bar, drinking, to the tune of $100.

    Theres a guy in Torrance I heard is very good and I saw some of his work on a friends car, its called Fast eddie or something close to that.

    In case you are still looking, I recently looked for a local (to me) upholstery shop in the OC and couldn't find any referrals on FChat. I did some research online and found Thornton Auto Upholstery in Santa Ana. I had them re-cover the upper dash of my CS which I picked up today and I couldn't be happier. They were professional and personable, did an excellent job, and the price was very reasonable. The shop isn't in the best area (it's near the Santa Ana DMV), but I actually ended up leaving my car there for almost 2 weeks while I was out of town.

    I know the area. Ya not the best but that is where you usually find the guys who do the best work since it is by hand. Your car was probably safer there then other parts of the county.
