Hi All, I have a 73 euro GT that I picked up years and years ago. It was damaged and was being parted out when I got it. I had worked on the frame and was ready to install a new front and rear clip when I lost interest. After seeing omgjon's Dino restoration I dragged it out and am thinking about starting it again. I've replaced most of the missing parts but the real killer is that I'm missing the engine/transmission and half shafts! I've made a few calls but have had no luck....was hoping someone here might have some suggestions?
We have a E-series gearbox which is completely overhauled and all parts to rebuild an E-Series engine. Please contact me if you are interested.
I can probably help too. Do you want a rebuilt engine or a kit of parts? If you're not feeling too purist a 308 transmission can be adapted. PM with your email.
Tom, do you have a dino drive train or two perhaps laying about that big old yard of yours? the OP is in California, you could be his salvation. DM
Wasn't there at least 1 Dino converted to a V8 from a 3x8? Might be a way to get the thing moving while hunting the right parts.
"THE DUTCH DINO SITE HAS SEVERAL ENGINES FOR SALE " Michael, do you have a web address for the Dutch Dino site? Regards, Alberto
This is for sure no German Dino site but a German dealer for Dino parts. Thank you for considerding this little difference...
Many beautiful FIAT Dino's have been sacrificed just to keep a Ferrari Dino on the road, its a shame unless its a FIAT Coupe
Thanks for all the help! The car's serial # is 04630. I'll post a couple of photos this week of some of the stuff I've been working on.
there is a replica Dino for sale here in Australia apparently with an original engine, gearbox, steering and suspension. Whole lot listed for sale at $33k.
Do you have a web address (URL)? Always willing to learn more, especially when it's about Dutch Ferraris. Thanks. Best regards, Peter
Tom, What are you doing in the 206/246 forum? I thought that you only goofed with cars that are huge, dull and dangerous!
Please note this site has not been updated since May 2008. This site has not been used for a while! Better try the Yahoo Fiat Dino Group or these 2 websites: www.fiatdinouk.com or www.fiat-dino.de
Hopefully you don't mean any Fiat DINO Coupe... Otherwise thank you for your support to the Fiat Dino Coupe
