    Hi Everyone,

I just thought I'd show a little something you 355 owners may be interested in. It is a carbon fiber cup holder that replaces your ash tray. Insalls in about 5 minutes, is totally reversable, and adds a practical feature to your Ferrari.

The attached photo shows an install on a 360 but the layout is the same on the 355 so you will get the picture.

More info and photos available at:

    http://www.carbonio.com/performance/brand/ferrari/cup_holder.html

Online ordering can be done at:

    http://www.carboniodirect.com/Ferrari_Cup_Holder_p/fer-cup.htm

Note that this product qualifies for free shipping in the US and Canada

How does that work in a 355? Does it have the side slats for the power mirror switch trim to snap onto?

Still... more useful than an ash tray. ;)

    All the best,
    Andrew.

When you take out the ash tray on the 355 it has the mirror swich connected to it. With the assembly in your hand you slide the two parts apart and then re-install the mirror switch and the cup holder. We fit these on a 355 with no problems.

As for those who say that a Ferrari has no cup holder answer to me how many people smoke in their car? This is a simple practical upgrade that is totally reversable.

Glad it's carbon fiber to offset the weight of the liquid refreshment! :)

I know how it works, I am asking does the cup holder have the slats on it like the ashtray to secure both parts together when re-installing..

Oh I understand now. To answer your question no it does not have the clip like OEM. It is not needed because when you screw everthing together the cup holder holds the mirror button down making the clip redundant.

I had one of the regular ones in my 456. Very handy, although I thought someone else had the patent for this. It's another F-Chatter.

Very nice product, I like it! True on the one hand cup holders in a Ferrari are borderline blasphemous, but on the other it gets reeeeeeal cold holding an ice coffee between your legs on the way to a summer meet!

Photos? I guess I could walk down to Daniels office and take a look but I am sure everyone else wants to see too.

Its starting to cost me money working here with all the good 355 stuff we have.

What I posted in the 550 section but with pic

"Bought one last month, very nice product, now get busy on a handbrake handle replacement and mirror control panel for the same price, I refuse to pay $350 for another maker's offering. "

Nice piece but not practical as the beverage would soon be fall/spill once the car is under way... cup holders are best kept for the DD.

Not for me, I just use it to hold a bottle of water, and I keep the cap on.

As requested here is a photo of the cupholder installed in a 355. Included in the kit is a rubber disc that can be placed at the bottom of the cupholder to cushion a beverage container that is placed in it. This disc is clearly visible in this photo.

It would be nice if the rubber disc had some absorbtion for light spillage or condensation.

A material for the disc that is of a foam base is prone to bacteria and mildew. For this reason we use a rubber that is resistant to rot and smell.

As for how much. $149 including shipping in the US and Canada. You can order it here:
