Does anyone have experience machining 360 wheels to fit a F355? I've read a lot of posts on here saying the offset is wrong and that rears especially, will stick out too far, but that you can remove material from the wheel center to make the correct offset. Has anyone done it? How much can you safely remove? Do you have to get shorter studs?

Any thoughts are welcome. I currently have 3-piece chrome speedlines (OEM option) and would really like 355 Challenge wheels, but short of finding those, it seems there are tons of OEM 360 wheels out there for very reasonable money. I think they would look great on the F355 if I can make them fit.

    Thanks,

    Zac

I have 360 wheels on my 355 spider. They do rub the wheelwell both front and back if I hit a big bump. But under normal driving conditions with the soft suspension mode set to off, they are fine. I also went with a lower profile tire to have more clearance.

The starfish wheels look better suited to the 355 than the 360 IMO.

I find it hard to believe your query has not been answered several times in the 355 section ? Does 'tttt' mean you haven't looked or found an answer ?

    Hi,

I have had a set of 360 Challenge wheels machined by 15mm to reduce the offset and to fit my 348 Spider.

These wheels are 10.5" x 18" on the rear and 8.0" x 18" for the fronts, so are 0.5" bigger than the standard 360 wheels.

The mounting area of these wheels is huge and can clearly lose 15mm thus reducing the offset, I also found that I needed to have the hub centric area machined by 1.5 mm for them to fit the hub of the car!!

I have not looked at a standard 360 wheel to see if they can be machined the same as mine but I would expect they can as its the mounting area where the offset comes from!!

    Hope this helps?

    Regards,
    Phil.

    Thanks Phil,

Yes, "tttt" was in place of "bump" just trying to move this up the line to get an answer.

Thanks for the responses. I'll post over in the 355 forum too.

    ttt means To The Top..

Years back when I did my 348 wheel swap & went to 360 modulars I needed spacers front & back as well as all new wheel studs as they need to be longer..
Looked sweet when it was done
