Always loved the racing F40s but performance information is kind of scarce on them.

I really haven't found anything for the GT or GTE.

But I have found some numbers for the LM.
    0-60 mph - 3.1 sec, and top speed - 229 mph.
Pretty amazing, especially for the late 1980's!

    Anybody have anything to add?

    Thanks!

Found out that the 229 mph run the LM made was done at Nardo, pretty cool. Amazing that it hit 229 mph with all the added downforce it has over a "regular" F40.

Ryan I think you'll find that they are all slightly differently specced with gearing etc so the resultant performance numbers are all over the place, but you have the original numbers for the standard LMs cars pretty much down. If you'd like to compare an Enzo with a 20-year-old car, this would be one race Id like to see.

Yeah, I figured gear ratios and even downforce set-ups can make a difference pretty easily.

Even the boost settings and possible use of restrictors can too, I mean the LM with the restrictors made about 720 bhp, without them, about 760 bhp. But on high boost mode, which was used for qualifying a lot, they could make about 900 bhp.

Either way, no matter what set-ups were used, I think a 229 mph top speed and a 0-60 time of 3.1 seconds is pretty impressive. Especially for the late 80's.

you can have a look also on the Le Mans qualification times, it can give you an idea for the LM and GTE compare to mc Laren f1, porsche GT1 and 333sp for example in 1995 or 1996!

It amazes me how competitive the times were even though there were many newer, specifically built cars competing too. I mean the GT1 and 333SP are basically racing prototypes. Pretty impressive the times they put down, quite a few top 5 and poles too.
