Well that's good service!! I would take them a ice cold 6 pack for the boys in the workshop tomorrow.
if my memory serves me correctly that r8 is from hamilton? you might know, james - it seems to get a lot of km's under its belt as i see it all over the place
The R8 is from Auckland but as I understand it is a daily driver so it gets around. There were a couple of daily driver R8's in Hamilton but I have not seen any of them for a while.
Rangie??? I'm currently "punting" a 1989 3.5Ltre Standard around due to a distinct lack of talent on a wet oil slicked turn....I'm thinking and talking...sloooowwwweeeerrrr
I,ve had 3 of that model,77 up to93.They were always reliable , capable(better than ANY Japa off road)and comfortable.Had to trade a 99 and immediately had probs with the suspension system, electrics etc....flicked it for a......Lowlux,but thats another story.
Saw my first 575M Superamerica today. Heading towards Palmerston North through the Manawatu Gorge. What a wicked sounding V12! http://www.flickr.com/photos/aaronhape/4220370539/ Also saw a blue 308 last week - Plate is ENZO8
Been out a lot over the holidays in the 355, great weather here for the most part. A very good friend of mine brought this toy down from Auckland for a run today....it is in absolutely amazing condition, truly immaculate. Thanks Pap!! The Porsche really is in amazing condition, the 993 is my favorite of the 911 series and this one I really like.
Nah....sounds grayte now...gave it a new gutful of oleo and we went crazy with carby cleaner whilst disassembling plenum area....great idea to plumb PCV into plenum with fool injection :-( The low down growl is starting to grow on me ;-)
Plenty of spotting over the holidays but these from yesterday.... (and a 599HGTE from Contis...) anyone ever seen this car ? was an ex-F1 car converted to a GTO look-a-like in NZ but I lost track of it some time ago Image Unavailable, Please Login
This car was built by G.B. Mcwhinie{I think} in Christchurch. It left N.Z. many years ago and long since been rebuilt back into to its original specification.Think it is in the Wheatcroft museum in Britain now.
That was the Tasman Dino car (#0007), ex-Pat Hoare(he modified it) and owned by Loagn Fow when these photos were taken(I think). It went to Neil Corner in the UK in the late 60s and his son still had it When it was displayed at Coys Historic Festival at Silverstone in 1997(as a Dino again)
993 series a keeper.. TT prices eclipse low end 996 consistently now and look to be staying there. I'd also have 964RS and 997GT3 to round out the road going "must haves" from that neck of the woods!
thank you gentlemen, glad to hear it went back to it's original form, a lot of this happened back in those days
I'm in the UK for work this week and took the opportunity to visit DK Engineering just outside London yesterday. Over 100 photos but some highlights were 4 F40's, 1 F50, 3 Lusso's (GBP 2 Million each) and a range of other stuff. Also a mint RS550 Porsche Spyder owned as an investment. Not really a spot in NZ, but a spot by a New Zealander! DK Engineering recently sold and exported a F40 to NZ (Nov 09) and in the past have also sold and exported a 288GTO.
