    Jerry-

I'm not a fan of all hip hop by any measure, and am more likely to be found at a metal show, but I do like some Redman and Method Man.
If I may be so bold as to suggest it; the original 'Blackout!' album is my favorite, although the recently released 'Blackout! 2' has some great tracks as well.
Excellent beats, wordplay, double entendre and smooth flow.

I like 'Tear it Off' and 'Da Rockwilder' (among others) off the original and 'A-Yo', and 'How 'bout Dat' off the newer. I think you'd like 'A-Yo' as it is catchy, danceable, and therefore plays pretty often in the strip clubs here. ;)

Hollywood Undead is more rap metal and 30H!3 is more electronic/technopop. In fact, their name is a variation on the Roland TB303 synth - something widely used in techno in the 80s and 90s. I used to own one along with an MC202.

The 303 is highly collectible and mint condition examples are very expensive. Below link is a really neat history on the device, including the 303 being used in early rap like "Jam On It" to KLF to Prodigy. I could make mine scream by turning up the channel gain to 10 on my mixing board.

I actually really like the new Jay Z album.
Wale has some pretty catchy music, also Swizz Beatz has some pretty catchy music.

Personally I prefer the mainstream top 40 stuff for party atmosphere. If I want to listen to Hip Hop, give me some Rakim, Tupac, B.I.G or Geto Boyz.

I'm more into the older rap stuff and more underground groups than the ones mentioned in this thread but...

    Current favs:

    - Dre, Snoop & everyone else who was on death row records (dre, snoop, xzibit, cube, warren g etc etc). Dre's new (and last) CD is coming out next year. I can't wait. Its going to be unbelievable

    - Biggie, Tupac (duh)

    - Jay-Z (his older stuff. I don't like his newer stuff), Nas and other similar rappers

    - "Underground" stuff (not really but close): Army of the Pharoahs, Jedi Mind Tricks, Outerspace, Virtuoso, Immortal Technique and the individuals that make up these groups etc

    - Wu Tang and other similar stuff (a lot of the "underground" stuff is similar to Wu Tang)

    - Talib Kweli, Common etc

    - Some random newer stuff like Tech N9ne

I hate modern hip hop with all the club **** and stuff. I mainly listen to the rappers that were around from about 1985'-1996ish in what i consider the prime time for rap (NWA and then biggie and 2pac etc)

I hear you on the club songs thing...

You might want to check out the Power 106 playlist.. it's got a lot of songs they play regularly.

    http://www.power106.com/playlist/index.aspx

If you like "Run This Town", like a few others have said - get a copy of The Blueprint 3. There are a LOT of great songs on there. I've been listening to it in my car for the last few weeks straight.

Some of the most recent stuff I think you might like..

"Forever" by Drake ft. Kanye West, Lil Wayne, and Eminem (talent galore)

A lot of Kanye's stuff is good.. "Good Life", "Amazing", Stronger", etc.

    Lil Wayne... "Lollipop"..

Even some Usher... "Love In This Club", older stuff like "Yeah!", "You Make Me Wanna", etc.

Hope that helps... tell Snoop I said wassup my nephew... :)

Whoa now. Gucci Mane and soulja boy don't deserve to be in the same sentence as Three 6 Mafia; both of them are horrible.

    Three 6 Mafia
    Young Jeezy
    Dr. Dre
    Snoop
    Eminem
    Wu-Tang Clan
    Kid Cudi

^That's the hip hop/rap I listen to now. All the other stuff (Gucci Mane, yo gotti, soulja boy, lil wayne, etc) are just the same repetitive stuff: huge bass, played-out lyrics, etc).

Which is exactly what the OP was looking for.

I personally can't stand so-called hip-hop purists that knock the new breed of artists like Soulja Boy, Gucci Mane, etc. If you don't like their content, no one is forcing you to listen to them. Simple as that.

You're putting words into both of our mouths.

When did the OP say he wanted just huge bass and played-out lyrics? The OP stated that his top 3 were T.I., Rick Ross, and Jay-Z. None of them fall into those said categories.

When did I say I'm a "hip-hop purist," and when did I say someone is forcing me to listen to them?

By saying Gucci Mane and Soulja Boy are terrible, you're giving yourself an authoritative position on the subject.

I'll just say he deserves respect as far as using the power of the internet. His youtube channel is just shy of 500 million views...

    Thanks everyone.

I do like Pitbull and some of the Soulja Boy stuff. Young Jeezy has definitely been added to my playlist as well.

They arent as good as Rick Ross but they have a few I like.

rick ross/jay-z/young jeezy - hustlin' remix. Pretty long track (8 minute something) but F me its good.

quite old now, think it was released in 1999, but Jay Z's 'big pimpin' is fantastic as well.

Nate dogg has a great voice and you should Eminem Xzhibit Nate Dogg - Say my name too, along with chingy/nate dogg - I like that. The latter one is a proper strip joint/club song.

I'll come up with more if you like the above:)

well you do listen to homo RnB crap made my neyo and such, so you're opinion can not always be taken seriously:D.

I do agree however, soulja boy is a talentless ****** with an apparently funny dance and clothes made for people 4x his weight.
