I believe that was very track specific. Their overall performance wasn't the worse but it was close. They might beat Torro Rosso again and lucky to beat Renault with Alonso gone. I could be wrong though. What is your reasoning for thinking they will be competing with BMW?

I thought they were improving overall. I didn't think Spa was track specific. They built a clean and good chassis and had the best engine of the field.

BTW: I don't think they will compete with BMW since there is no more BMW...
    ;) It is Sauber-Ferrari! Yeah! :) :) :)

Are you sure BMW/Sauber is gone next year? They were confirmed for 2010 just this month according to the official F1 website.

Spa and Monza are two tracks (which are great) which requires lots of top speed and low down force. I believe this suited FI perfectly. After Spa and Monza they were again pointless. What have they done, which Williams and BMW have not, that will jump them into the mid?

Even mid pack runners score about points in about 50% of the races. FI scored zero points in all races except Spa and Monza.
