I suppose they felt the plastic would be adequate, lighter and less expensive. Definitely would prefer the aluminum!

Time and heat have definitely taken their toll on the plastic. I'm hoping to replace them with aluminum, but those parts are proving a bit difficult to locate. Funny thing, the plastic covers are actually more expensive. Go figure...

Thankfully we did manage to locate all 5 pieces in aluminum (from multiple sources). I'm thinking about having them polished before they're installed, but I'm not sure about that since you can only see the tops of the cam covers with the engine in place.

I am surprised that someone hasn't come up with an aluminum replacement, there should be enough of a demand for these :(

Beautiful engine. Looks like a Testarossa owner is getting his major too in the 3rd pic.

Thanks Mark. And I've been admiring that TR engine - it's a work of art.

Thanks Glenn. I haven't taken any interior pics yet. I'm holding off until I REpaint the console and other plastic parts. The satin finish I used on the first attempt is too shiny. Hopefully I'll get around to that this weekend. I did manage to fit the shields though (I'm using the light bulbs to keep the adhesive warm overnight).

BTW, since you've owned both a '90 TS and a '94, any impressions as to differences, power, fit n finish, handling etc?

The spider has more road noise, which I expected, but your Tubi sounds much better than my stock exhaust (I'm anxious to replace that). I didn't notice a difference in power, but it's been 2 1/2 yrs since I drove the TS. Your car looks great, BTW!
