I took delivery of my 99 F355 today. Can't offer much in terms of driving impressions because I drove it from the end of my short driveway into my garage :)

What struck me first is the car is overall smaller than I expected/remembered.

Pedal location seems a little odd. Closely spaced and towards the center of the car.

It has stock (quicksilver rebuilt) headers/cats and a quicksilver muffler. It sounds nice but is quieter than I expected. Initially the bypass valve was rattling but seemed to go away once it got some heat in it.

Overall the car seems exceptionally clean. The paint is really nice but definitely needs polishing. Should turn out nearly perfect.

The interior is really nice too. The leather around the gauge surround is very slightly wrinkled and it seems like the leather on the passenger airbag could be a little tighter but other than that it is really nice. (just a little dusty).

I was suprised to see the brake ducting in the front actually connected all the way to the rotor. Many cars only have ducting aimed in the general direction of the brakes.

I also found it interesting to see the air inlet ducting runs up to the door inlets. (though you can see the cloth duct run directly under the openings behind the rear windows).

Other than a really good detail and careful polishing of the paint I think the only other things I would like to do to the car is wheel spacers (tires really seem tucked) and slight reduction in ride height.

    Looking forward to spring :)

The pedals are offset because Enzo had one leg shorter than the other! :)

Looks great... love the red stitching. I don't know how common that is in 355s.

congrats!!! gorgeous GTS...and as you know by now, colored stitching is pretty rare.

Impressive amount of 'digging' about the car you did on the first day! Yes the factory air inlet is lousy...so a few months back I made a 'cold air intake' which grabs air from the C pillars. This is how it was on early 355's (just saw that on BrandSB's car), but apparently they changed the routing when the spider was introduced. VERY worthwhile 'upgrade'

nice to see you finally get your 355. It's good to see that someone picked up that other Nero 355 with HRE wheels as well.

    Congrats, beautiful 355!

Regarding first impressions, I still remember taking receipt of mine last June with a crowd of people standing around. It was nerve wracking, all sorts of noises, first impressions, concerns, paranoia, etc. while everyone was mingling around the car. All those concerns are now long forgotten after the initial service and lots of seat time. Looks like you got a nice one, enjoy!

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. :)

The stitching and factory shields were a big plus for me. If it didn't have those I wouldn't have been willing to spend as much as I did on the car. (69k for those wondering)

Jay, I pulled up your old post about the ducting, I think I will do that as well. Maybe that is the reason everyone says the 95's sound better.

Albert, that nero 355 is beautiful and I love the wheels. I nearly bought that one but I kept thinking that I would regret not getting a GTS. I tried to imagine driving the car on a warm summer night and I thought it would be more enjoyable with the top off.

Rick, I spent just about all last night in the garage, lol.

Mike, I shave my head, is the hair gel/blow dryer still mandatory?

Ton, it definitely needs a good rub. A friend of mine has some amazing skills with wet sanding and polishing. I'm definitely going to have him polish it but not sure if I'm brave enough to wet sand it.

Scotty, got to love the contrast stitching. Yours and mine are the only pics I've seen of the red as well. I've seen a few with the yellow which I think looks awesome too (and stands out a bit more).

Steve, funny as I can relate. There wasn't a bunch of people standing around but I'm still slightly nervous about the car since I havn't been able to drive it and won't until spring. I'm really hoping that I will like the way it drives.
