I really do NOT think that is the case...... The 348, first of all, has a pretty long duration of manufacture, the first ones....well, the later ones are better. Also, this model, MORE than any of the earlier cars will show a HUGE difference in condition, from the spyders that were left constantly top down in the FL or Cali sun, to a pampered example that was cared for and garaged.. So more so than most Fcar models I predict there will be HUGE spread eventually, between 'beater' and pampered cars. There's one here next to the Beer Can House that looks brand new. And that is no accident!
That is not fair to say. I have had my '89 (32nd car/17th US) for ~20 years and it has (and still does), run like a monster, and looks brilliant.
348's are just like any car --- they are having there prices reduced as you can only sell your car for what someone will buy it for. in todays society with gov printed money; increasing inflation any car will be worth less today then yesterday--plus noone has any money to spend, rather catch up on their mortage payment. with that being said....a ferrari that runs and drives solid honestly shouldn't really ever go below 25. the reason being is because a "ferrari" is always worth something because of its limited production. porsche 911s go for between 10-20 of the 80's age but you can much easily shop around. people with the excess cash to spend on an exoctic have become more and more limited, thus less demand, less worth less. basic college economics. sorry to burst anyone's bubble. but something is only worth but someone will pay for it. for me-- a ferrari with motor problems was worth more to me then "the best example you can buy for your money" . time is money---hence my time is free...!
