What does the forum think is reasonable clutch wear for an '07 430 with 3000 miles on it?
Does 15% sound about right. When do these cars usually need a clutch job? At that rate, it would be about 20k miles. Naturally, there are some variables affecting wear. I was merely wondering what the average is in the vast experience of the F-chat members.

Not sure what % wear is recommended for replacement.

I just had my annual service performed and my 2005 F430 with 13.5k miles is at 15% wear (ie 85% left) so it shoudl last well beyond 20k miles.

My very experienced Ferrari svc. mgr. told me on can expect, on average, to need new clutch at about 20,000 miles.

I agree....for a car that is not beaten.

4mm is recommended replacement. The clutch position sensor will start to lose its ability to remember where the clutch is at about 4mm. The symptoms would be the car spontaneously going into neutral, and generally not shifting. (F1 only obviously)

That's pretty much when I had to change my clutch and fly wheel.

Also keep in mind that most of the cars do not start at 100% from the factory, usually somewhere in the mid-90's depending on how the sensor is set.

Had the clutch changed recently on the 360 and it read at 17% in 400 miles. My mechanic said that 15% clutch wear is just what the computer reads so you don't end up burning the clutch at the end.

How long a clutch lasts is reflective of how the car is driven. I anticipate getting 30+ out of mine. You determine the life.
