anyone know anything about this company, they took over where the old Lamborghini of Dallas was. I work down the street so I go by everyday, have tons of astons, Rolls, MB, I saw a smart car that said straightline on the plate and i went to straightline's website and all the cars in the parking lot of Crown motorsports were on straightlines website. Just wondering

Crown is an offshoot of Straightline Automotive.

I was wondering the same thing (Crown/Straightline).

Not being from DFW, where are they located relative to the AM dealership?
We may try to visit this weekend and want to drive a couple of different AMs.

They are the same companies and located basically across the street from each other. Eventually they will each have different cars but Crown is just a month old and they are cross selling. The official Dallas Aston dealership is owned by a good friend of mine and its about a 10 minute drive away. The AM dealership is owned by a very good friend and car lover/collector, John Eagle. John owns many dealerships (www.johneagle.com/). I highly recommend their operation and can let him know if you want to see their dealership.

Straightline has been around for a long time and had lots of cars. Just my opinion, but I think you would be fine. They have quite a facility right across the HWY there in Dallas

I call bs on that. I decided to buy a 360 they had on ebay in nov. Called over there A
at 9 am and told them i was getting on a plane in 5 hours to get the car. They said ok we will pick you up and get it ready. I got there and had to wait 90 minutes for someone to pick me up. Im not high maintence but 90 mins on a curb sucks. I got there and the car had rock chips all over it like bad. He told me they would throw touch up paint on it. I just shook my head. (i own a chopper shop and have paint
people so i didnt complain). This is around 5pm. Then he handed me the keys and said enjoy the car. Car had 4 tires with 5 psi in them. Low every fluid there is. A radio that was blank saying code and no one knew anything about a code. Salesguy walked off to go home. I walked my ass in the back and asked a mechanic if he would mind giving me some air and fluids i had a 4 hour drive home. He went above and beyond fixing me up. Service people at now 6pm on a friday helping and talking me threw it all. Even found a radio and code. Service at crown is top notch. Sales sucks. They said 1-3 weeks to get a title. Its been 5 weeks and i still dont have that car title. Hell i paid with a cashiers check. Id have one pissed bank if id have got a loan. No one will call or email me back either. So more crap to come. Id carry my ass somewhere else.

Scott, it is off of Stemmons, just south of 635. Crown is on the west side of Stemmons and Straightline is on the East of it. I found it kind of a pain to get to, but I am not from Dallas either.

I bought a used Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, and it was a pleasure to deal with Crown, especially Davis Speight. The car was better than advertised, and they did an incredible job of making me, a very nervous customer, feel comfortable. I highly recommend them.

The only downside was the transport company they hooked me up with SUCKED, and there was not a drop of gas in the vehicle when it arrived, and would not start. Not good, but Davis apologized profusely.

I went there to look at a MB, AMG CLS. The cars all looked better on the internet than they did in person. They have a professional photographer do their work, and I saw him in action while I was there.

They had a lot of cars there, and all of them high-end. They acted as if I was inconveniencing them while I was there. It was a strange atmosphere. I would do some work on them with BBB and be sure you get some other opinions on here as well.

I get the impression most of their business comes from outside of Texas, internet business. They told me many of their cars were auction cars-not a big deal but it is what it is. Many cars belonged to one of the owners apparently.

Of the many cars I looked at, all were in good shape. I just have a keen eye and felt that the ones I was considering were lease returns, not really well taken care of. That said, again, they all looked good, but none looked 10 to me.

I bought a ,86 911 slant nose cab from them a year ago. I bought it from the their straightline dealership.

The title took a little while but they went over the top on the repairs and reconditioning on an older car.

They appeared to have a limited staff but in my opinion that is ok, it keeps the prices down. I like not having a sales guy follow me around or ride with me on the test drive.

A friend of mine bought an S600 from them and was pleased as well.

I wouldn't put 2 cents on anything CJ says. He is a con-artist and pathological liar. If you search other forums, (such as the VIPER FORUM and some of the bike forums) he has a reputation for ripping people off and then claiming that he just had that scam done to him. He sold a Viper to 3 guys at the same time. He also claims that he sent a guy a large deposit on a Ferrari then the guy didn't deliver. That sounds just like the scam he pulled on me. I left a deposit and got a bill of sale for a vehicle 'cause he "had to get the title". Now I'm in a suit from 1200 miles away to get my money back. Please don’t take my word for it. Do your homework and check him out.

As for the dealer in Texas, ck with the forums and escrow is always a good bet on big ticket items.

    Good Luck

there is a for sale sign out front, less then a year after they got the place. and they are asking $500k more for the building. I heard it just was not profitable to have a seperate place from straightline. They used the mechanic and paint shop a lot, but it seemed the cars in showroom were mostly for storage from straightline
