    "It's coming.... only 503 made! "

In how many colours? The 'road car', then seven Le Mans versions, that alone would be 4000, before they slightly alter the bodywork and do all the other versions........ ;-)

yep... it's 1:18 and only 503 made only in red for now. I'm sure we all will see several other versions and colors in the near future.... Stay tuned!

    Steve is right.
They are beautifull but, there will be to many.

I choose my models because of rarity and craftmanship,
In a couple of months every collector has one, these BBR's are made on an assembly-line.

In a couple of years the resale value will be nothing... The bburago's of 2015

Mine is a lot more expensive, but I am certain only a few were made. (around 1990 in 1:14)

I don't care how many are made or what the resale value is. If high numbers keep the price down yet the quality is excellent I'm happy. I'm really looking forward to this model. The BB/LM is one of my favorite cars! Lucky to see so many nice models lately, including the 312 PB and 412P by GMP.

p.s. as soon as I heard a few years ago BBR was going to do the BB/LM I immediately sold my MG version because to be honest that wasn't a very good model. BBR is usually more accurate with the overall shape and detail.

    Peter,
You are right, the MG 1:18 is not very good, and building such a kit can be a nightmere.

Its amazing what CMC, GMP and BBR produce! Superb quality for a very reasonable price.
Unfortunately, they need to produce big numbers, I recently heard 4500 are necessary to make the modell profitable.

As I said....its all about choices.

Good luck on the respray of your 308, must be strange to see your car transform in pics...
Picking her up will be exciting!!!

Judging by the price CMC will be charging for the 1/12th F1 sharknose, even diecasts can be very expensive. I go by quality and scale only.

I wont be buying this one because I only collect 1/43rd, 1/24th, 1/12th and 1/8th scales and already have the Hiro 512BBLM in 1/24th scale(I am a model builder). The BBR looks great!!

Now there is a model I have not seen in many many years!

I love that piece! Yes I too collect because of rarity..well used to. What you have there is a model I have only seen once. I saw 2 of them for sale in 1992 in Italy. One was in amazing condition and the other was damaged. I heard a story of the builder commiting suicide? Anyway back then the price was several thousand dollars. I was tempted and passed and regretted it since. Guess my Brianza and MG models will have to do!

I had been looking for it for years!
Like you I saw 1 in the 1990's and in the collection of another forum-member.
Its also mentioned in the new Nathan Beehl Boxer Book.
The builder ended his life shortly after the release of this modell. 3-4 were made a month. Its the only modell he made under his own name Andrea Ceoni. ( I hope its not the cause...)
Last year some-one on another forum told me he saw this one in a shop, I bought it immediately, never regretted it!

I also collect Large (1:12 and 1:14) Brianza, MG, and very rare Ferrari's.
Its a challenge finding these kind of models.
Last one i got? A 1:14 ADB 250 Lusso, not perfect, but extremely rare!
I have several in the very rare models thread..

Now back to the BBR, thats were this thread is supposed to be about....

Thats nice Hans. I saw this model when it was new, but never with the doors open or the tail up. It did set a standard, although there was some controversy as to whether the body should be grey on red, or sky blue on red......Either way, its a great piece of craftsmanship.

I love these old builts... At the time, I couldn't afford them, and never thought i'd own it. Some may find them crude, but at the time this was the top of the bill!

1:14 handbuilts were a hype in those days.

this will be a stunning miniature, regardless of productionnumbers. But since I limit myself to 1/43, i'll let it pass.

Not sure how that got started. Every photograph at the time showed the car to be grey and the only semi-official color reference I've ever seen has the paint as being Mercedes Papyrus Weiss - a light grey.

Just for the hell of it. This picture was taken last year. Of course, it has been repainted since it was new.

Nice picture and thanks for posting it but it is clearly grey. IMO nobody studying that picture could draw the conclusion that the car was sky blue.

Replicarz has a list price of $350 USD. Plus shipping, of course. However, while it's listed as a "future release", it's also listed as "sold out."

STILL no word from Replicarz as to an anticipated delivery date. Talk about a long lunch break...

    Update...

STILL no release date from BBR. Frankly, it's embarrassingly laughable now.
