(ANYONE HAVE INFO ON THE FIRST PIC I POSTED?) I would love to know more about how it was constructed. More pics of anything similar (garages on mountains/hilltops etc. would be great!

(Mods feel free to move to correct forum)

what do you suppose is the purpose of the "tilt" deal in the garage with the 512 BB?

Its grated, so it must collect water/etc but it doesn't appear to be a pit...like an oil changing pit.

I think there's a massive cliff infront. Not a bad precaution to have if that's the case.

Awesome pics though. Great incentive to work harder.

It was put in to allow the car to roll backwards so that the owner could start the car outside the garage thereby not filling the inside area with fumes. Here's a link describing the garage.

Probably used to roll the car out prior to starting, save fulling the nice garage with fumes from the exhaust...

Or maybe to prevent it from accidentally rolling out of that glass window.

Bingo. There was a long writeup on that "garage" here on F-Chat some time
ago. It is indeed so he can roll out to the street before starting. As I recall,
he had something similar on the entrance so he could shut off and roll to the
    final spot.

Gotta wonder how often he bothers with all that though....

Awesome link. I get the feeling that some of those beautiful cars don't leave their garages too often. Too bad.
