Recommendations? Looking for a 24" or so monitor with an HDMI input as well as normal PC input. Don't want to shell out a ton of money, but I want something good.

IF you get a big monitor like 24+ you might be hard pressed to find something that will use anything but hdmi. Most of the big video cards only use hdmi these days, as the monitors. It was a slippery slope for me for sure, upgrade monitor, upgrade videocard, upgrade power supply, upgrade ups.

I have two Hanns-G monitors at work... I got them on Newegg.com. They are both 28", and have HDMI as well as other ports.

I just noticed the price came down - way down.

    EDIT:

This is the one I have, $299 now - a steal. I have various LCD monitors (Sceptre, Dell, Samsung) and this one is the best - big, bright, clear.

I got an Asus VH242R (I think) for my birthday. 23.6" HD w/HDMI. I've got my MacBook and Xbox 360 hooked up to it. CoD MW2 and Forza 3 look great on it. Price is about $250 CAD.

The St uses a TN 6bit panel. The colours and viewing angles aren't as good as an 8bit panel.
It really depends on what you intend on doing with it but if image editing is one of them 8bit panel is the only way to go.

You will notice the difference having the ST2410 and U2410 side by side.

If its just regular PC/internets use and gaming the 6bit panels are fine.
