Only getting a 458 through a dealer late this year when U.S. deliveries are underway, if I sell the 612. Do not expect an early one this summer. I am not Enzo!

    a 612 is a much different car than a 458 will be.

No kidding. I never thought of that! Of course they are two very different cars.

New to Ferraris and looking at a 612 here in the UK. What do you guys mean by OTO? Probably a stupid question but if you don't ask......

    Thanks

    OTO = One-To-One

It's basically a customization/personalization service. Read from the 6th paragraph down.

How popular is the manual 612?

In terms of popularity? Pure speculation but I'd say a red 612 is the rarer of the bunch since most 612's seem less "flash" because of the subtle nature of the car. Not sure if this actually hurts or helps the price but I guess that depends on how bad someone wants that color. I'd think a manual would be rarer too but probably on the side of collectible these days.

Collectible and 612 are rarely used together.

From my experience, red 612's are less desireable - when I was buying mine, for some reason red was selling for less in the pre-owned arena. Red is the color of a 360,430 etc - a 599, 575 etc. Not the 612. Did you ever see a red 456? rather rare and for good reason - it didn't look that good.

The 612 looks best, to me in a dark business suit - black, TDF blue is my favorite - a snazzy TDF with Cuoio is the cats pajamas. I have black - my second favorite.

I find the dark exterior helps to reduce the visual size of the car - dont they say, black is slimming. I find light colors over excentuate the car's "flaws" - if it has any.

I am coming up on my two year anniversary with my 612. Besides from a broken window switch from my wife or son doing something they shouldn't have, and a few tires and a new battery, the car is trouble free. Its so comfortable and easy to drive. Its a wolf in sheeps clothes.

Its, in my opinion, the greatest ferrari which gets the least respect. It will stand the test of time from a design point and should last, if maintained 100K miles or more.

My 05 has about 10,000 miles on it - I got it three years old with about 2500 miles. It wants to be used.

    Good luck!

Agreed, collectible in terms of the model, no. Possibly more "sought after" by the manual diehards as a subset of the category. Very well said on the other points. If you happen to like red as another owner here posted, more power to you as that's all that matters.

Great to hear yet another very positive review on the car. My choice tends to fall to a Pozzi with Cuoio but TDF would look amazing as well.

    Cheers!

No affiliation but there's a very nice black one here:
