there are some challenge shocks available on Ebay. does anyone have any input/ experience in upgrading the F355 for street use with the challenge dampners or the fiorano handling package?

I didn't think the challenge ones had the shock actuators on them to be adjusted like the regular ones do.

The challenge shocks are set up for springs of at least 2X-3X stiffer than stock springs.

Springs and shocks need to be matched to keep the tire on the road. If there is more spring than shock then the wheel hops down the road after a bump. If there is more shock than spring, the tire remains off the road after a bump. Neighter is good for traction.

Thanks Mitch, a very good (and succinct! :D) technical explanation. :)

    All the best,

The 355CH dampers are different from the road car version and they do have the actuators, there is a different ECU for them also.
The springs for the challenge are far heavier than 3X the road car. Frt rates are 2200 lbs/in the rears are 900 lbs/in. The road car rates are something in the 200-300 lbs/in. You would never want the CH springs for the street.
