The final episode for this series, S14E07, is available now in 720P HD on FinalGear. Smaller rip is available at a motorsports torrent site I won't name, so it should be available on the public trackers soon.

Why on Earth do they put up the 720p rips and not the low-def 700MB ones at the same time?

I play'em off on my PS3 and it doesn't like HD .mkv files, so the time saving and easy playing low def torrents are just perfect for me.

ApexOversteer: Torrent-link on PM would be appreciated.

FinalGear puts up whatever rip appears to them first.

You're in luck, because the smaller Xvid AVI rip just appeared on EZTV...

    Should appear on FinalGear momentarily...

    ... and there it is....

Motherf*ckers! Looks like they dropped the SLS AMG from S14E07! Now we'll have to wait until next summer to see what they think...

So Sunday (3/1/2010) was the last episode aired for this season? I'll go back and download it tonight.

Btws, whatever i download on isohunt.com, it's always about 1 hour show, with no ads.

I'm downloading the episode from Final Gear, but does anyone know if the pirate bay is still up and running? It isn't loading up on my comp.

Also isn't 550MB a little small for Top Gear? My other episodes are 700MB.

Because I want to keep the video, I have all the episodes in all the series from series 10 onwards and I want to carry on doing that.

Eventually I'll probably grow up and just buy them on itunes but not yet.... not while I can get them for free easily.

Actually, of all the shows in the 14th season (except the South American thing), I liked this one the most. Plain and simple road car tests with that certain extra bit of TG charm. Bringing the lady who designed the road signs was a lot funnier and more interesting than driving through shopping malls or sewers or letting the army loose. They should really stick to the cheap and creative parts instead of just throwing money at the production and scripting everything to death.

YES!!!! Could not have said it better myself. Either keep it simply and NOT scripted or do it properly like the South American trip and Vietnam trip etc. :D

I love all the bits except that for last few seasons they do too much of obvious "mistakes". We all get it that those mistakes and misfortunes are there for the TV/entertainment sake but Top Gear was just as good (or dare I say better) before.

My favorite parts are the supercar roadtrips... Living the dream...

I assume it just takes longer to get the HD versions posted up, that's all.

And I do the exact same thing with my PS3.... in high def! What you need to do is download the .mkv file, then process it using something called "mkv2vob" (google it). The output is an .mpg file of about the same size. I then just copy this file onto my external hard drive (that has to be formatted as FAT32, of course) and plug that into the PS3 and voila: Top Gear in high def!

(sorry if I geeked out, but I've put a LOT of time and research into my PS3 media files. :) )

I know (I'm a computer geek too). But it just takes extra time :p

Either way, we're getting off topic now :)

The 550mb version is due to the smaller encode being an encode of an encode. The first rip out was the 720p, so the smaller one was encoded off of that, rather than being from a live 1080 capture.

Actually, not really. We are talking all of 3 mins to mux. Def worth the time invested to have a high quality video in my book.
