    Found this in Techart's site:

"a Grand Piano does not agree with its pianist until it is individually tuned and intoned. Just like a sports car does not agree with its driver until it becomes set up according to his personal demands. But from this point forth, an instrument as well as an automobile bears a unique signature."

I guess most of us here do like to tune our sports cars to our taste. A little individuality from adding stickers to rims, tyres, tuning & bodykits.

Do you always like the way your car is delivered right out of the box?

Hmmm you pose a very good and interesting question.
I would say 90% of the time. My 355, 360CS, 430, Scuderia... I felt all needed a small DMS ECU upgrade... the rest of the car - Perfect.

Seriously quick driver on a vintage which looks like the yellow bird but still over 8mins, can't imagine how it's done on those 7mins cars. I don't think the modern ones are as tricky to drive as this.

    Look @ 2.55-3 mins.

    Lung, is that the ring?

And your AMG, Lambo etc too! Quite an addiction isn't it?

Has there been any side effects of ECU upgrade so far using stock components or some needed extra hardwares?

Indeed but 80% of yours are kept for too short a period :D

AMG had ECU upgrade but not the Lambo. Oh and the Maserati Gransport too.
Zero side effects after the remap. No need for any extra hardware just remap the software. Either he pulls out the ECU and reprograms them or plugs his laptop into the port and remaps the ECU. Its like a half hour to an hour job.

How about suspension? I've always like to tune the car's handling to my liking but can't do more than height adjustment, alignment & damping?

Didn't u added some sway bars or something like that? Do thicker ones help?

I'd like to get mine planted. Some feel tricky on high speeds & when doing turns. I find that usually lowering helps but need to study deeper into it. Do you know any experts here?

Ahh yes yes... the 355 but it was all challenge parts.. all original. The 355 GTB had the challenge sway bars on the car. The car felt a lot tighter around corners.

U want your car to be more planted? Not floaty? Ferrari do tend to feel more nervous at higher speed in my opinion. Suspension and ride height does help with the floaty bouncey feeli but I think if u want a more planted feel at higher speeds... you got to improve the aerodynamics. Spoilers, wing, etc. Wind tunnel testing is a must. Cannot suka suka stick a wing at the rear... it does not help.

Mate, would agree on that for sure... thats when the car feels truly personal.... though in the case of my RS, its the first car I have ever bought which I have done nothing too other than add the radio!

Having said that....I cant wait to see SBBB's turbo when it is done..... it will be the only 997TT ever to be fully converted to full GT Street specs in South East Asia according to Autovox.... we are talking of over SGD200k in mods alone.... this will surely be as unique as it gets... the car has already been cut to bits and the body is being done as we speak. The engine is next... its looks are going to be a love it or barf at it kinda thing.... hahaha but I LOVE IT!

Mate you are going down a very slippery slope with the turbo....

Get the Bilstein set up that Ron uses.... car feels significantly better on the track... BUT it can never replicate the feel of the GT3. Ron did a couple laps at Sepang in Renny's GT3 and could not believe the handling difference even though he has really set up his turbo...

or give a shot of SBBBs Techart suspension once the car is done....

    I feel your pain bro...

But not the RS mate.... staying at the top of the hill for that one.... its absolutely perfect for me...

My 996TT was full Techart GT Street body and engine was "warmed over by Proto" with K24/18s, dual fuel pumps, Ford Mustang MAF, Proto custom air intake system, Proto intercoolers with external BOF, GReddy boost control, completely retubed external transmission cooler replacing flexible tubes courtesy of Espace, RUF steering and goodness knows what else.... yeah.... that was a pretty bad slope..... detuned from MPs efforts to just over 700bhp.... :D

i think brakes & suspension are necessary if the driver likes to track ... otherwise the stock setup shoud be fine in most cases ...
