There are some talented people here. I wish I was an artist. I'm inspired once in a long time and I'm impatient so all my work is quick, only spend a few hours on any given project. The taller guy is made from a smashed rear bumper from a 1962 Ford Fairlane, the other was scrap pieces I had around the shop. My goal on the bumper was to have no left over bits. Ended up with a couple bolts when it told me to stop.

Are those over-vert? Or is that just the effect of the lense? Are you buiding these for a skateboard, bike or?

a couple of recommendations. Draw lots of circles and ovals before you start drawing for 10 or 15 minutes.

Next, buy a good full set of ellipse guides... for the wheels

Since you are using color, start playing with degrees of color lighting...

Red cars would be red, orange, and yellows. (and no color for the "brightest" and a wider contrast.

Blue cars would be Blue, violet, and light blue... etc.

Don't worry about messing up, just get some Vellum paper, or marker paper, and "fix" what went wrong on the first drawing without losing the "good" stuff.

Not everything has to be solid color. In fact, nothing should be

Finally, get some white pastel, cotton, and a razor blade... and carve off small shavings into a pile, grab it with the cotton, and "wipe" it from one side of the glass to the other. It's a really neat effect :)

    Keep drawing!

I agree, that's awesome. I respect your work after attempting a few wedges and quarters in my younger days.

Hey Michael those are great! Quick question for you, was the last painting a composition you imagined or did you use a single photo reference?

Thanks - all paintings are imagined and put together with lots of research (if needed). Here are a couple more.

    Beautiful!

I guess your paintings are used as cover for model kit boxes???

    Cheers.
