My favourite car in Vanqs calendar is Des's stupid car..... so irritating. My boss was leafing through the calendar and said the exact same thing.

Funnier was that he saw my car and said whoever bought a car with that colour combo had a serious lack of taste.... then suddenly realised his mistake and said... well at least the car isn't all orange.... to which I replied that the immigration officer on Sunday morning in Malaysia said he really loved my colour combo.... Fong I wonder if I am part errrr malay....

Thank goodness your driving is faster than your response times on forums. hahaha.

I really liked Des's analysis of Porsche vs Ferrari...

My analysis based on the Spaing methodology of explanation...

I have concluded that Ferrari drivers are like men who get hooked up with trophy wives... stunning to look at, ok but not so good in bed but great to bring to events and generally appreciate the absolute beauty of these ladies, we want to bring these ladies out to show off as often as possible. Oh yes and to keep them... maintenance in the form of much shopping at Ion is needed...

Porsche drivers are like guys who have wives that are stodgy dodgy women, definitely not the prettiest in town by a far shot, but absolutely stunning in bed and we like to get in the sack with them at every opportunity and make use of their stunning skills.... whatever they lack in looks they do their hardest to make up for in skills..... and maintenance for them is a trip down to geylang seraya during hari raya for some ramli burgers....

    :D

but wouldn't you agree that both ferrari and porsche seem to be moving towards each other in recent times?

by introducing the gt3 (and the gt3rs), one could say that porsche is upping their game in terms of excitement and the wow factor to rival the italian marques.

on the other hand, with the 360/430 and now the california, ferrari is trying to shed its previous image of unreliabilty and difficult to drive exotics. can't remember which interview but the ferrari boss said that ferraris could now be driven as everyday exotics.

in a way, i kind of miss the fact that they were at opposite ends of the spectrum and really far apart such that the choice was easier. ask yourself what you would do if you had to make a choice between a cali and a pdk turbo cab and why you would choose either.

To that I reply, SPEAK FOR YOURSELF!

I love my sunkist but in no way would I correlate that factor to any other heritage but my suckling pig eating teochew dialect :)

Now that you point it out, the line between both marques are indeed getting thinner..I guess the ever-changing consumer demand is ultimately responsible for this.

Hahaha! I think your RS has one of the best colour combo I've ever seen on a car..definitely better than all the other colours available for the RS to begin with.

I would still pick the aston for the best middle ground as the Porsche still is a bit bland whilst I still really dont trust an Italian car to get me from point to point with zero troubles (not necessarily based on fact unfortunately but just something ingrained in me still). The Aston has the reliability with looks to die for.

Steady man, interview the father 1st! U are one bad arse :D

Oh boy, yes more pics please. That F40 has some nice wheels & looking @ the vents aft the wheels on the 250 reminds me of those on 996TT. Some things do stay where they should!

Dude, u are sounding to be a poser :D

Don't get panaroid about Italians as they don't break down that often as long as u know the service history but I can imagine when the great classics get a nose job. I've seen pics of GTO's crashing out in Goodwood or Classic LeMans. Oh boy..... these wealthy owners do drive them.

Looks like quite a few of us started off with F348. U, me, Wilson & KopiO. The Testarossa wasn't too bad @ all. I did one trackday & two KL trips with it. Never let me down @ all.

    Me too x2 :)

Yes, googled on them yesterday but seems that the stock suspension on the 997TT does not have height adjustment. Will possibly swing by this week.

Think I put up that clip sometime back. They hit the exact same timing driven by the Stig but JC was visibly enjoying the CS much much more.

Is the CS 2x more $ than the RS (not available here)? CS is retaining good value now.

Not sure if this is a fair game. Price wise, pretty similar with the F one still more expensive but at least it has a proper boot and lost out on the rear seats but the metal roof is useful.

In reality, I might just choose the Ferrari. For the sound, new gearbox too, badge & that controversial body. It looks better tailored in the cabin too.

In all honesty, I feel that Porsche needs to have a new flagship model to up it's ante. Eg. "new 928" but do they need it as they don't see themselves as direct competitor to the Italians? The new COE is talking about a new model below the entry boxster which gives them 6 models & dozens of derivatives.
