Any Singapore Ferrari owners?

I had a lucky escape earlier in the week when one of my rear wheels decided to go AWOL .. real lucky .. as I noticed something wrong less than 1km before Tuas, rather than 1km after! End result the buggy got a makeover

 

Jon, I've got to apologise .. coz I didn't have a camera with me this afternoon when I was in the presence of TWO (red & black) 25th anniversary Lambourghini Countach's .. & yes they were RHD. I actually think they are the first RHD Countach's that I've seen, and WOW!

I stopped with the wheel at a very exaggerated camber, a gap btwn wheel and wheel hub of about 2cm and held onto the car by 3 remaining but lose bolts.

Mrs K reckons it's time to cut & run, as where I'm still emotionally attached

 

mate, firstly it doesn't make sense that the wheel was loose ... unless it had been to a shop ... in which case u need to go c them & give them a piece of yr mind as they were obviously incompetent and careless - a very dangerous combination ... another km & u wld hv been across the border & god alone knows at what speeds ...

but mrs. k may hv a point mate ... think abt it ...

 

It doesn't appear to be incompetency or carelessness, but rather metal fatigue. Had it happened on the other side I might not have been fortunate enough to be sitting here now

I have my theories on how & why, but I'll share that with you over a drink.

Holy ****! Mp's right. Wheel bolts don't come loose over time as far as I know, they only get stucked in the threads. U are really lucky, it would have been a very nasty situation should it go three wheel. Which reminds all of us to do a physical check on our wheels every other month.

I usually have the Snap On guy deliver to my house.
Do you know what lug nut size is on your car? I can also order the thinwall impact socket for all those fancy and very impractical rims.

But its kinda of like that vice in man, they always look good, but never good for anything else.

 

I always try to run Single piece forged or tuv approved cast wheels.

I almost always keep one set of track wheels(usually stock) and use the bling wheels for rolling around on the street.

The reason for your wheel falling off.

Go back to your last guy who install your wheel and watch him remove and install the wheel.

If he takes an air gun to it and tightens the lung nuts in a clockwise motion, thats the reason. The wheel probarly sat at an angle and didnt flush down to the centre hub and hubcarrier, he or she probarly tighten the wheels without employing the "star" method.
