328 INSTRUMENT BULB REPLACEMENT

    Need help on replacing my 87 328s instrument light bulbs especially the speedo bulbs...
    Are they replaceable ??? Replaced the Tach bulbs with ones which are brighter...
    How do I go about in replacing those speedo bulbs ? Apreciate the help

    You are NOT the first to ask this one. ;)

    Please use "Search" (upper left). There are several very good threads that include part numbers and vendors.

    Someone here recently figured out how to use LEDS. They are costly but REALLY seem to make a difference. His thread includes part numbers and vendors too.

    BTW, try bypassing the dimmer control on the lower left of the steering column first. You can make up a bypass circuit from a short piece of wire and some insulated stake on terminals. I did it on my 328 years ago. Easily reversible if you sell the car. Probably made a bigger difference than the bulb swap....though I actually did both. :) I swapped mine back when I sold the car, but gave the new owner the wire and instructions if he wanted to bypass it again.
