you will get slaughtered at the Manheim sale. Perhaps you know this and I am preaching to the choir... but... manheim is a wholesale. You are looking to get retail for your car... And sleezebay... with plenty of 355s on there with less miles than your car for about 46-50k I don't see you getting the 45 some are quoting on here. Please don't take this post as a debi downer... I think your best bet is probably just the autotrader, cars.com maybe ebay to get the exposure... but if 45k is your number dont get your hopes up.
yes... but to show a car that sold in 08 has little relevance now. Would you buy a home based on 08 prices? NOPE. The luxury market was slammed as well...
My bottom line price on the car is $36.5, I offered it to my daughter yesterday but she wants to keep her Audi.
I would advertise it on www.ferrariads.com (free with a silver subscription here) and cars.com. I sold my 1989 348ts to a local guy through cars.com and got reasonable money at the beginning of the summer. Another idea is to wait unti lspring to advertise the car, you will typically get about $3-4k more for it then. BT
Please tell me you are NOT serious about giving that to you daughter. As the father of 4 girls, I PROMISE you will regret it either a little...or a lot.
I didn't notice the dates, but in any case my point was that you can't use auction prices as your benchmark for the value of a car.
+1...and the difference in attention it garners, ease of driveability, etc....but hey, maybe he is on to something, why didn't we just save our money that we burnt on Ferraris and just buy Accords instead?
Well, the subject is officially over, she turned down the Ferrari, said she likes her Audi better. I guess I will try ebay and then just dump it at Manheim.
You mean, dump the imaginary Ferrari that have been lying about, because your imaginary daughter turned it down, because she likes her Audi better? Oh yeah, the easter bunny will be visiting you too in a few months.
What a ******, you just can't help yourself. You must be one of the "Internet tough guys" or just a Ferrari ***. I guess you get one in every crowd.
LMAO!! Did I ruffle some feathers? Does the truth hurt? "Internet tough guy"? Ferrari ***? LMAO!! pls stop, you are killing me, I am going to bust a gut here!! LMAO!! LOL!! ROTFLMAO!!
OK guys, I'm not going to enter into the discussion about whether or not he should give the car to his daughter. But I will state this as a matter of fact. Last summer I was on my way to an appointment when a red 348 spider pulled out in front of me. After a very short distance, it turned off the road and into a driveway. Since I also own a 348 and rarely ever see another Ferrari here in central PA, I followed him into his driveway and introduced myself. It was Rob Hunt, and we talked for a short while about cars. At this time he even told me that he was on the look for a 360. As I recall, there were several other cars in his garage and driveway. So why doesn't everyone lighten up on questioning his ownership. By the way Rob, I still want to go for a ride in the 360! Tom
I think Tom just cinched it that Rob does, or at least did, in fact have a 348... can we all just take deep breath and dial back the rhetoric? Mike
Hello Tom, You are welcome to come to the house and drive the 360 anytime you want. I just bought a house in northern York and will be moving the first week of Feb so anytime after that is fine. How have you been? Rob
So a guy comes here to find out about his Ferrari's value, and his credibility is being questioned for no obvious reason (even though he seems to have met some of the members here), he is being bashed for saying that he will give the car to his daughter. You also call that car a "sports car". Maybe a sports car of it's era, but now any average BMW is faster than 348. I don't really like the attitude of some people on this forum, you should be ashamed.
