took it for a drive yesterday .. prob is .. once you've speced it to wat it SHUD be, you're almost paying California prices .. and as much as I dislike the look of it, I'd still get the Cali for her over the TT. Am I mad?

Jon, I'm sure you get VIP treatment from Exquisite Marques as your a frequent customer and loyal customer! :)

Speaking of the Austin, that car was pass on to my cousin from his dad!

Yeah, I agree that his 512 will look great if he redo the interior work. Well, normally he likes to get the car mechanically perfect before he looks at the other parts, lets see what happens.

His Countach has those K&N airfilters that he upgraded connected straight to the webbers, looks much better than the stock version.

Did you climb in the cockpit of the countach and 512 to look see? When they fire up, very fierce! :)

    Thats really long!

I'm still waiting for some of my warranty parts. Luckily for me, its carbon fiber parts so does not affect the drive.

OK on! The day you pick it up I will get as many GT3s together as possible to welcome it. Then we do a drive and end up with a bit of makan at big splash with a bit of a photo shoot... Vanq how about you being the official photographer of the first Mk 2 997 RS in Singapore welcomed by all the GT3s that we can get and of course the first Mk1 997 GT3RS in Singapore as well... this will be fun!

I think your reasons are absolutely justifiable..at the end of the day, it's still a F-car no matter how bad it looks..and that's a good enough reason to get one..

the thing I find amazing about Porsche's is that you can grab em by the scruff of the neck or you can drive em like a little old lady, they're simply an all round driving car. The PBK is super efficient & so much better than the tiptronic, but it also takes away from the driving experience some what; then again I said the same thing about the Cali's shifting. it's hard to get a proper picture on a short drive, but it was everything I expected. I did suggest that they include a CD of Ferrari & Lambo sounds coz at times it sounds like a Prius.

the options list is huge, and I mean massive .. FIVE A4 PAGES! & of that there are a few "must haves" which quickly add up (eg. PDK @ 14k, CCB @ 31k, sport chrono package @ 14k, sunroof @ 5k, sports seats 11k, steering wheel with paddles & CD changer @ 4k etc etc), and before you know it your into the 700's for the coupe & +750 for the cabrio! and as good as it is I think it's hard to justify that kind of money.

i just recvd this afternoon. looks like got some nice events coming up.

any of u guys who are ecc members going for the kluang drive this sunday?

did a recce party drive yday up n-s then b roads back to kulai then ns n 2nd link back. left early at 6am n was nice driving thru a sunrise no traffic at all, good local bfast at kluang rway station too, nice scenic broads with little traffic,n back to spore by 930am. very hassle free leaving early i must say.

but am still experiencing this bouncy effect above 230kmh. thot i cld drive thru it, but at 260/270 it seemed worse ,like the whole front was swaying uncontrollably.what 's the vmax u cs n ex- cs owners hv taken the car up to? someone told me the cs was just not designed for optimum out n out max speed-gearing ratios tuned to track use (at 260 in 6th, car was almost 7000rpm). or could my front shocks be too low? incorrect alignment/tire pressure? sport or race mode for max speed?

or maybe its just my nervous disposition?

bro could be just the aerodynamics of the car.... lets also not forget its a mid engine so the front of the car gets lighter at speed and can add to the "nervous" feeling of the car....

wheel balancing (or lack thereof) will result in wheel judder, and alignment will become really noticeable if off when driving in the rain or across expansion strips on expressways for example.

question is whether its safe to push on - really felt it might just slide uncontrollably off the road- my testa did not feel like this when straightlining at very high speeds

This is a very common problem... I bot a Maserati 4200, sold it for 355, sold the 355 for another 4200, then sold the 4200 again for a 355. So I hope you don't feel that bad now... :)
