Very cool!
Here is my second set of New York City pictures (12/29/09). These pictures were taken on the 86th floor of the Empire State Building. The pictures are with various NY Landmarks such as the Chrysler Building (1st pic), the MetLife Building, Central Park and The Hudson River. Here is my last set of New York City pictures. The first three were taken from the 102nd floor of the Empire State building. The first two are looking out at the East Side and the last at the West Side on the Hudson River. The last three pictures were taken in Times Square. I am rather dissapointed at how all of my Times Square pictures turned out, and unfortunately these are the best that I had. The Sbarro's in the last picture is the one that a Ferrari F430 crashed into during the filming of a Nick Cage movie a few months ago. Here is my second to last set of pictures with the P4. These were taken in Quito Ecuador on 1/2/2010. In the first picture you can see some of the snowy peaks of the Andes Mountains. The last two pictures were actually taken inside of the crater of the dormant Pululahua Volcano. Apparantly this is the only inhabited volcano crater in the world. In the second picture you can see the little town that exists. The drop after that little bush is near verticle. The last picture with the P4 shows the interior wall of the volcano. Here is the last set of pictures I have with the P4. These were taken at Mitad del Mundo (Middle of the World), which is located in the outskirts of Quito Ecuador. The orange line represents the Equatorial line seperating the Northern and Southern Hemispheres (latitude 0 degrees). To the left of the line is the Northern Hemisphere and the right is the Southern. Very cool pictures and locations, Kevin! I think the Time's Square and other pictures turned out great, and it's awesome that you got it on the equatorial line!
That includes NY to Quito Ecuador, right? It is really amazing how far this has traveled. Also, I am sending the P4 back in the Morning.
557 days = 13368 hrs (85000 mi) / (13368 hrs) = 6.36 mph average to 1:64 scale, that would be an average of 406 mph! Covering over 47 million miles in 557 days!
I think its in the mail on its way to me right now, but I will ship it out to you a day or two after I get it. I look forward to those pics.
The P4 made it home safe and sound! Its been about 18 months since I first shipped the car out, and you can tell the car has been loved.. and it looks pretty good for having 85,000 plus miles on it. I will get my pics, then ship it to Lung Thursday or Friday. Thanks again for the great pics Kevin. Dale
Yeah.. me too! It's great to follow along with the little cars' adventures. It has gone to some interesting places!
A before and after... First picture was take back in July of 2008 the day before the car went to Texas, and the second is how it looks after 85,000 plus miles. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
