Fair enough. [Pop-up blockers will not stop it, but only once seems reasonable]

Mac OSX Snow Leopard, Firefox 3.5.5.

Same issue (when not logged in) - Page freezes with no scroll bar and BTW, I didn't even get to see the ad! Reloading the page fixed it.

You guys should use the "YARIP or Another remove it permanently" Firefox add-on. You simply right click in the area where the ads are located and select RIP. It blocks any ads that appear in that frame for good without worrying about the address of the ad changing in the future.

In conjunction with the adblock, pop-up block, and flash block, I haven't seen an ad on any forums for over a year...

A question from the other side.

Why would someone PAY to have ads on this site, if the SUBSCRIBED members don't see them?

Because the vast majority of views here are from non-subscribed members and visitors, I suspect.

The sponsors here get access to ALL the members, that's what they pay EXTRA for.

The stuff that fills your screen as a non-subscribed member is driven, I think, by Google or one of the other search engines.

If you are unsubscribed, after the OP (original post), there are a few GoogleAds. That is what the Silver & Rossa subscribers don't see.

If you also add Flashblock to Firefox you won't have any ads.

correct, the ads that non-subscribers see between posts are non-sponsors.
