The way you have it worded it sounds as if, in a day and a half a rat and a half always gets consumed. you use the word can in the beginning but then firm up the day and a half part as if it's not flexible.

How far can you go into a forest?
Halfway. After that, you'd be coming out, not going in.

How many sides are there to a round cake?
    Two. Inside and outside.

When is a bus not a bus?
When it turns into a street.

A pound is a pound, no matter what the mass is.

+1, even if you say troy pound or w/e it's the same, you are comparing a pound for a pound, so 1 troy pound = 1 troy pound, meaning there is no difference. I'm confused :D

Nope troy is 12 oz....feathers are weighed in 16 oz... feathers are weighed in another scale ...avoirdupois which is 16 oz

The weight of just about everything in the U.S.A. is measured using the avoirdupois system, under which an ounce is around 28.35 grams, and a pound is 16 of those ounces, or about 453.6 grams.

One of the few things NOT measured using the avoirdupois system is gold, which is always measured using the troy system, under which an ounce is around 31.1 grams, and a pound is 12 of those ounces, or about 373.2 grams.

So a pound is not a pound, an ounce of gold is heavier than an ounce of feathers, and a pound of feathers is heavier than a pound of gold. As the thread title implies, it is a trick question. :)

Have I asked this one before?

If you are riding down the street in a canoe and all the windows fall out, how many eggs does it take to fill a cesspool?

None. Because elephants are not allowed in the showers after 10PM with sneakers....

    Makes perfect sense to me......
