A 1:12 Enzo has come up for sale locally, it fell of the shelf it was sitting on, the seller describes the damages; "This model has been damaged as the shelf it was displayed on collapsed. The bodywork is perfect. As pictured one of the door panels has snapped off and both doors are a little wobbly. Both door liners have popped off but easily glued again."

    Pictures attached...

Thoughts on this? Easy to repair? (I have modeling skills but have not seen a 1/12 Enzo to know what the materials are like and if the door can simply be glued back together or if the repair might be more involved...)

All depends on the price. How much for a new one? How much for this one? Can be fixed but won't be perfect.

I would rather buy one with no damage as I don't want to deal with the repair. You don't know if the repair will be perfect so you don't notice it (IMO).

There is a piece missing from that panel that popped off. At the corner - it won't be an easy fix even if he has the piece. Will require repainting the panel to make it perfect. Depends on the price I guess.

It is about 35% of what the retailed for new....He also has a F50 1:12 avalable that is in perfect condition...might be able to squeeze a deal if I buy both.

What is the market price for a good second hand one of these on eBay? (to give me an idea of where the price should be compared to new retail...)

Decided to pass, guy wouldn't budge on the $300 (nzd) asking price.

I'll keep looking, these things are hard to come by in NZ and the prices I have seen for freight out of the US are eye watering....
