Dear all, I have to organize the next major maintenance on my 348. 1990 348tb with 50000km on the clock. I have to make the major maintenance with the timing belt. But I saw on this site that some extra- market parts are better than original's. Please, give me your opinion about each followed points. 1. I want to use Hill ingeneering tensioner. 2. new water pumpe (or refurbished)....... is it the same quality? 3. Is it a good idea to replace all the valve springs and valve guides ? 4. Sport catalytic converters 5 Sport exhaust 6. do you have other good ideas? Thank you very much guys
Do what the car needs, no need to take the heads off unless you have problems. Hill engineering stuff gets excellent feed back so I would go that way if necessary. Are you going to have a shop do the work or do it yourself?
1. Hill engineering tensioners should be on all ferrari's 2. Haven't heard a refurb one break before. Eurospares do copies of the original now at a lot less $$$ 3. If it aint broke I wouldnt bother 4. My 348 felt much better with sports cats. Standard ones are crap imho 5. Mandatory.. unless you are deaf 6. Silicon hoses, uprated plugs etc
